A small family business with a long reach.
Blue Turtle Five LLC is a family-owned import company based in Marianna, Florida. We connect master artisan workshops in India with the funeral homes, temples, and families in America who need what they make.
Why we do this
Some objects carry more weight than others. A memorial for a parent. A murti for a new temple. A mala passed to a grandchild. These aren't purchases — they're acts of love and devotion, and they deserve better than mass production.
In India, there are workshops where families have carved marble and cast brass for generations, where the craft is taught hand to hand and a single piece may take weeks of patient work. We started Blue Turtle Five to bring that work to American families directly — without layers of middlemen, and without asking artisans to compromise their standards for volume.
We are a small company by design. Every commission gets personal attention because that's the only way we know how to do this.
What we believe
Craft over volume
We would rather deliver one piece that a family treasures than a hundred that fill shelves. Made to order isn't a limitation — it's the standard.
Direct relationships
We work directly with the workshops that carve our pieces. That means fair dealings with the artisans and honest answers for our customers.
Respect for tradition
Memorial art and sacred art both come with traditions attached. We take the time to understand them and get the details right.
At home in both worlds
Blue Turtle Five is run by its founder, Shrey Shah — and when you commission a piece, he is the person you'll actually talk to.
Shrey, 32, grew up moving between the United States and India, with parts of his schooling in each country. Temples, pandits, and blessing ceremonies were never distant ideas to him; they were family memory. The reverence with which sacred art is made and treated is something he saw firsthand long before it became his work. When he married in India in November 2025, in a traditional ceremony, it was a reminder of how much meaning ritual still carries in his own life.
Blue Turtle Five exists because of that dual life. Shrey knows the artisan workshops and temple traditions of India personally, and he knows what American families and funeral homes need: clear communication, reliability, and genuine care. He is the bridge between the hands that carve and the families who receive.
The business is small and family-owned by design. Every commission is handled personally, from the first conversation to the day the piece arrives.
“If you're considering a piece, you'll talk to me directly.”
